The City of Warman has an extensive storm sewer system consisting of 23 kilometres of storm pipes, 8 storage lakes, and 5 dry ponds. The storage lakes increase in size any time it rains and are then pumped down to the normal operating water level. The dry ponds, like Percy Hoff Soccer Pitch (pictured above), are designed to fill with water during a large rainstorm and drain away completely after the storm passes.
Almost all the rain runoff within City limits ends up in the storm water pond along highway 11 south of the dog park. In 2022, a 5.5-kilometre-long pipe was constructed. This allows for the water from this pond to flow by gravity to the South Saskatchewan River.
